Now I’m Open

How it works

Say what you’re open to. Meet people who are too. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish.

  1. 1

    Post an open card

Say what you're open to in one line: an activity, a topic, an area and a rough time. Pick Ideas, Friends or Date. Cards stay open for a day to two weeks, or until a group's date.

  2. 2

    People nearby see it

Members in your city who turned on Nearby see your idea, first name, age band, photo and area. Never your exact location or distance. You see them only while they can see you.

  3. 3

    They say I'm in

Anyone open to the same thing can ask to join, with a short note. You see their profile and decide. Saying no is silent; nobody is told.

  4. 4

Chat opens on a mutual yes

When you both say yes, a private chat opens for 7 days to set a time and a public place. Once you've both replied, it stays open. Scam warnings watch for money and app-switching talk.

  5. 5

    Meet somewhere public

Meet in a busy place, get there on your own, and send a friend a safety link with the place and time. After you meet, you can both confirm it and leave a private reference.

  6. 6

Plus a few picks at noon

Every day at 12:00, up to six people who share your interests arrive in Today. People who already said yes to you come first. No endless scrolling.

Three modes, kept apart

Ideas

Talk through a business idea, a book, a career change. No pitching.

Friends

Company for a hike, a gig, a hawker crawl or a new city. Women-only cards if you prefer.

Date

Intentions up front. Date cards only reach people who chose Date too.

Questions

Do I need to post a card to use it?

No. You can browse cards nearby and say I'm in. Posting your own card usually gets more replies, because people respond to specific plans.

How is this different from a dating app?

Date is one of three modes, and it never mixes with Ideas or Friends. Most cards are about doing or talking about something specific, so you meet over a shared interest, not a swipe.

Can people see where I live?

No. We only show an area such as Tiong Bahru or Seoul. No coordinates, no distances, no maps of members.

Who sees my photos?

Only signed-in members. People who aren't members never see them, and you can choose to show photos only after you both say yes.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Everything is free while we launch.

Can I use it when I travel?

Yes. Check in to any of 46 cities for the days you're there, and post cards for that city.
