Accessibility
Last updated 20 October 2026
We want Now I’m Open to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, larger text or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do today
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link.
- Buttons and links have text labels, including icon-only buttons.
- Mode colours are always backed up by a word and an icon, so colour is never the only signal.
- Animations switch off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without losing content, and tap targets are at least 44 pixels.
- Photos have descriptions where they carry meaning.
What we’re still working on
- A full screen-reader test of every screen with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
- A text-size setting inside the app.
- Chinese, Malay and Tamil versions of the app itself.
Tell us
If something is hard to use, email hello@nowimopen.com with the page and what happened. A person reads every message, and we’ll reply.
