Community guidelines
Last updated 20 October 2026
Now I’m Open works because people say what they’re open to and mean it. These guidelines keep it kind, honest and safe. They sit alongside our terms and safety page.
What we want to see
- Be specific. A clear topic, an area and a rough time. Specific cards get better replies.
- Be yourself. Recent photos of you, your real first name and your real age.
- Be kind when you say no. Passing is silent and that’s fine. If you’ve been chatting, a short “not for me, take care” is kinder than vanishing.
- Keep it to the mode. Ideas and Friends cards aren’t dates. Date mode is for that.
- Meet in public. Busy places, your own way there and back, and tell a friend.
Not allowed
- Anyone under 18, or pretending to be someone else.
- Asking for money, gifts, crypto, investments or loans, for any reason.
- Selling, recruiting, multi-level marketing or promoting a business in cards or chats.
- Harassment, hate, threats, or pressuring someone after they’ve said no.
- Sexual content, or using Ideas or Friends cards to look for hook-ups.
- Sharing someone else’s photos, address or messages without their consent.
- Fake profiles, bots, or more than one account.
What happens if someone breaks them
- Every report is read by a person, usually within a day.
- Depending on what happened, we warn, pause or remove the account. Serious cases are removed straight away.
- Where someone may be in danger, we may contact the police.
- If you think we got it wrong about your account, email hello@nowimopen.com and a person will look again.
Report something
Use Report in the chat’s safety menu, or email hello@nowimopen.com. In an emergency in Singapore, call 999.
