PDPA statement in plain English
Last updated 21 October 2026
Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) sets rules for how organisations collect, use and look after personal data. This is our short version. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in.
- Your profile: first name, date of birth (to check you’re 18 or over), gender, the modes you choose, interests, photos and home area.
- What you post: open cards, check-ins and messages with people you’ve connected with.
- Safety records: reports and blocks, and a verification selfie if you ask for the badge (deleted after review).
- If you say yes to ad cookies: which ad or link brought you here, so we can tell which ads work.
Why we collect it
To run the service (showing cards, matching interests, delivering messages), to keep people safe, and to improve the service. We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it with advertisers for their own use.
Who sees it
- Other members see what you choose to show: your cards, first name, age band, area and photos.
- Visitors who aren’t signed in never see your photos.
- Our service providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for the website, our email provider) process it for us under contract.
Your rights
- See it: download a copy of your data from Profile, under Privacy and data.
- Correct it: edit your profile any time.
- Withdraw consent or remove it: email us to delete your account. We do it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
- Ad cookies: say no in the cookie banner, or clear your cookies, and no ad tags load.
