Each mode keeps its own colour. Never swap them: Date is always rose, Friends always amber, Ideas always jade.

Logo and spacing

The wordmark is the jade dot plus “Now I’m Open” in Gloock. Keep clear space of at least twice the dot’s height on every side. On photos, put it on a porcelain pill. Minimum size: 24px tall on screen.

Safe fonts

• Gloock Headlines only. Free on Google Fonts.
• Figtree SemiBold Everything else: captions, labels, buttons.
• 思源宋体 / 思源黑体 Noto Serif SC for Chinese headlines, Noto Sans SC for body.

Safe zones for 9:16

Keep text out of the top 250px, the bottom 560px and the right 180px of a 1080×1920 frame. Reels and TikTok put the profile, caption, music and buttons there. Every 9:16 template here already does this. See the guides.

Do not

• Invent members, quotes, reviews, ratings or numbers. Live counts only come from our database and only show above 10.
• Show a real member’s card unless they ticked “OK to feature my card”. The real-card template checks this for you.
• Show exact locations, distances or home areas. Area names only.
• Let text spill outside its card. Our renderer shrinks text to fit; if you edit by hand, do the same.
• Present sample screens or illustrations as real. Keep the “Sample screen” and “Illustration” labels.
• Mix modes in one message, or use Date imagery for Friends or Ideas.
• Target anyone under 18.

Sizes

Add size= to any template link: portrait (Feed 4:5 (1080×1350)) story (Story and Reels 9:16 (1080×1920)) landscape (Link ad 1.91:1 (1200×628)) square (Square 1:1 (1080×1080)) . Add lang=zh for Chinese and night=1 for the dark set.

Headline ads

Template: /og/ad?id=makan&mode=friends&size=portrait, or your own words with h=. The headline shrinks until it fits its card.

The typographic ad rotates through 12 words by the hour, or pick one with w=0 to w=11: kopi, a run, supper, board games, a museum, a hike, dim sum, a beach day, a gig, padel, a book swap, a sunset walk.

Area ads: “Open in Katong”

One per area, with the area photo. The live count of open cards appears only when it is above 10; otherwise the ad says “Free · Area only”.

Real-card ads

Use /og/ad?tpl=card&card=CARD_ID. It frames a member’s card with a Join free strip, using first name and area only, and only renders if the member ticked “OK to feature my card”. Otherwise you get the plain brand ad. The consented list is in the admin page.

Video ads

Every film on /watch is 9:16, captioned, silent, ends on the Open sign, and opens on a readable card frame, so the paused thumbnail still makes sense.
