The Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015, is home to the National Orchid Garden, Swan Lake and the Symphony Lake stage, with Botanic Gardens MRT on the Circle and Downtown lines at its northern end. Just across Holland Road, Dempsey Hill's former British army barracks have been converted into restaurants, bars and galleries set in greenery. Adam Road Food Centre nearby is a popular stop for nasi lemak after a morning walk.
