Good places to meet

  • Kampong Glam: Near Sultan Mosque, with many Muslim-owned eateries.
  • Geylang Serai Market: Malay food and the Ramadan bazaar.
  • Hawker centres: Look for MUIS halal certificates or Muslim-owned signs at stalls.

Tips

  • MUIS certificates are displayed at certified stalls and restaurants.
  • Time meals around prayer times. Say 'after Asar' or 'after Maghrib' if it helps.
  • During Ramadan, see our buka puasa page for break-fast ideas.

Questions

How do I know a place is halal?

Look for the MUIS halal certificate. Muslim-owned is different from certified, so say which you mean in the card.

Can non-Muslims join?

Yes. Anyone who is happy to eat halal can say I'm in.

Can women post women-only food plans?

Yes. Turn on Women-only when you post.
