Good places to meet
- Jacob Ballas Children's Garden: Free, 8am to 7pm, closed Mondays unless a public holiday. Adults enter only with a child. Botanic Gardens MRT Exit A, then about 10 minutes on foot.
- Admiralty Park Nature Playgarden: Open 24 hours, with 26 slides and zones for ages 2 to 5, 5 to 12 and all ages.
- Forest Ramble, Lakeside Garden (Jurong Lake Gardens): Nature playground with 13 play stations, including inclusive, wheelchair-accessible elements. Closed Mondays.
- Clusia Cove, Lakeside Garden: Free water playground, about 10 minutes' walk from Lakeside MRT Exit A. Closed Mondays, so check NParks for current hours.
- Singapore Botanic Gardens: Free, open 5am to midnight, with wide lawns for a picnic.
Tips
- Meet first in a busy public place, like a playground or park, and keep the first outing short.
- Do not put children's names, schools or photos on your card. Share details once you know someone better.
- Jacob Ballas admits adults only when they are with a child, so pick a meeting point you can all enter.
- Many water play areas close on Mondays and for maintenance, so check NParks before you set off.
- Now I'm Open is for adults aged 18 and over. Children and teenagers should not use it.
Questions
Can my teenager use Now I'm Open?
No. The app is for adults aged 18 and over only. Parents post and meet each other, and bring their children along to family plans if they wish.
Can I post a card for a family outing?
Yes. Post a Friends card, choose an activity such as Explore the city or A walk, and say in the topic that children are coming and their rough ages.
How do I keep it safe?
Meet in public, keep your first meet-up short, and use the selfie verification badge and references to help you decide. You choose who joins, and chat opens only on a mutual yes.
